CBS News reports the "Durand Jirga Show" is primarily aimed at "ethnic Pashtun Afghans living in the U.S. and Europe."

Seddique Mir Mateen "has well-known anti-American views and is an ideological supporter of the Afghan Taliban, which the U.S. fought and ousted from power in Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001, terror attacks carried out and planned by by the Taliban-supported Al Qaeda terror group, according to CBS.

President Obama said Monday there was no clear evidence that Mateen's attack was directed by ISIS or any other entity. The 29-year-old New York native, whose parents are Afghan immigrants, was apparently inspired by extremist information found online.
