While Belgium's capital was on lockdown in November after the Paris terror attacks, some Belgian soldiers and cops allegedly took advantage of the solitude to have an orgy, according to Belgian media reports.

The alleged lewd acts involved eight soldiers and two female police officers at a police station in the Ganshoren neighborhood near where the search was focused for terror suspects, Belgian media outlets La Dernière Heure and De Standaard reported.

Police spokesman Johan Berckmans is quoted as saying an internal investigation had been launched into the allegations.

The sex party report comes days after controversy erupted over a lockdown photo of a soldier carrying a shopping bag on patrol.

Belgians on lockdown found other ways to keep their cool and sense of humor during the two-week lockdown. Social media erupted with cat memes.

Brussels police responded with a tweet thanking the "cats who have helped us last night."
