Newt Gingrich suggested that the Republican Party is changing so dramatically with Donald Trump as its leader that it should start using green instead of red as its color. Democrats should drop the blue and use yellow under Hillary Clinton's leadership, Gingrich suggested in a Facebook Live event Wedesday.

"I've been suggesting we drop red and blue because those are the old colors and we figure out two new colors, maybe green for Trump and some kind of strange yellow for Hillary or something, because we want to communicate that maybe this could be a different world with a very, very different kind of outcome," the former house speaker said.

Gingrich, who is reportedly on Trump's short list for vice presidential running mate, also said any Republicans who think there will be a conservative running a serious ndependent #NeverTrump campaign are "totally deluded."
