Seven Years Later: Michael Jackson Fans Gather To Remember King Of Pop

The day Michael Jackson died is one of those moments the world will long remember. Other icons have since died suddenly -- Prince, Whitney Houston, Robin Williams -- but the way Michael died and the mysteries that unfolded in the years since have kept his passing in our minds.

The man considered considered to be Asia's top Michael Jackson impersonator made an appearance to place flowers at the mausoleum entrance Saturday afternoon. , Wang Jie, who is from China, does not speak English, which caused for some confusion among some fans who tried to speak to him. His stage name is Wang Jackson.

Hundreds of Jackson fans gathered at Forest Lawn cemetery in Glendale, California, leaving cards, flowers and gifts in tribute to the fallen King of Pop.

We learned during two trials how Jackson's intractable insomnia led him to the surgical anesthesia Propofol, which was used every night for two months to put him into a fake sleep so he could prepare for his comeback "This Is It" tour. What Michael didn't know was is Propofol-induced sleep does not include REM, the vital process that replenishes the brain.

The world now knows about Jackson's constant fear of failure as his fortune dwindled in the years after a jury found him not guilty on child molestation charges. He risked losing it all if he didn't take the stage in London in July 2009. We've heard how he was slapped around in his hotel shower by a concert promoter because he was late for the tour announcement.

We've seen the touching videos of Michael with his three children being a normal family. We saw them because his mother's lawyers showed them to jurors at the unsuccessful wrongful death trial against the concert promoter.

Seven was Michael Jackson's favorite number, so his diehard fans have gathered in Los Angeles -- the city where Jackson breathed his last breath -- to marked the 7th anniversary of his death.
