The formula for a synthetic drug that's been on the streets for several years has been altered by dealers, causing an epidemic of overdoses in Florida that police say turns users into zombies. It is killing many of them.

This video was shot by a Clearwater, Florida, police major in a park in mid-March. These people are high on "spice" and unable to respond to questions.

"We have noticed a serious uptick of Spice incidents lately that have turned into medical calls and it's become a serious drain on resources for the police department for the fire department," Clearwater police spokesman Rob Shaw said.

This is a report from Tampa TV station WFLA on the rising problem.

Need more convincing that Super Spice is a crazy, zombie-making substance? Watch this from December.
