Ted Cruz is trying to lure Donald Trump into a one-on-one debate, without the other active GOP candidate John Kasich, on Fox News' "O'Reilly Factor."

Cruz, who won two states against Trump Tuesday but remains far behind in delegates, has been arguing the Republican presidential race is just a two-man contest now.

Trump, who appears to be the only candidate with a chance of winning the needed 1,237 majority of delegates before the July convention, decided to skip Monday's planned Fox News debate.

Cruz suggested to O'Reilly that he host the two candidates on his show when Trump is scheduled to be a guest Wednesday night.

No response yet from Trump.
