Martial law is "military government involving the suspension of ordinary law," according to Google's official definition. But some Americans fear it is a tool President Obama wants to use to extend his presidency beyond next January. Many of these people are the same ones who still believe Obama is a muslim born in Kenya.
These people have been warning for more than a year that Obama planned to invade Texas as part of his martial law plan. You can read all about it at Lead Stories' Operation Jade Helm section. Jade Helm is the name of the supposed invasion of Texas, using UN troops.
The shooting of 11 police officers by a sniper during a protest in Dallas, Texas, Thursday, caused "Martial Law" to become a trending term on Twitter.
A sampling of tweets will give you an idea of the mindset of these Americans:
"Martial Law" is trending on twitter right now because a bunch of conservative whites fear this is how "Obama gets his third term". Sigh.
