The video shows a 27-year-old white man randomly choosing a 79-year-old black man to hit on a Texas street in an effort to see if national TV would cover the attack.

Conrad Alvin Barrett was caught because he showed his video to an off-duty cop at a bar while bragging about how to knocked out Roy Coleman.

The attack happened in November 2013 and the Justice Department is now releasing the video because the case is closed with Barrett serving 71 months in a federal prison for a hate crime conviction. Watch the KPRC TV report.
