Donald Trump mimicked a disabled reporter during a campaign speech because the reporter disputes Trump's account of "thousands" of Muslims in New Jersey celebrating the collapse of the World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001.

Trump's spastic impression drew fire from Serge Kovaleski's newspaper, the New York Times, which called his mocking the reporter, who suffers from a congenital joint condition, "outrageous."

The Republican frontrunner was defended his account of seeing video of Muslims watching and celebrating from across the Hudson River as they watched the 9/11 attacks.
