STORY UPDATED: check for updates below.

Days after Donald Trump won the South Carolina's GOP primary, the billionaire has captured Nevada where Republicans caucused Tuesday.

CNN projected Trump the winnner soon after the four hour caucus process ended. Trump had 45.9%, Marco Rubio 23.9% and Ted Cruz 21.4% with 100% of the vote reported. Ben Carson was 4th with 4.8% and John Kasich 5th at 3.6%.

Updates:

: Nevada is Trump's third straight win, confirming his longstanding lead in the polls. For Cruz, a third place finish would be a hard blow following his disappointing South Carolina showing. If Rubio maintains his second position, the GOP establishment's support of the Florida senator would be solidified. John Katich's effort to be the mainstream's candidate is a big loser considering his 5th place showing, although he is trying to hold out until his home state Ohio holds its primary in mid-March.
