Officer Down, Suspect Sought: Fort Worth Police Chase Ends In Gunfire

A Fort Worth, Texas, police officer was shot by suspects he was chasing when they stopped their car and fired at him, according to local media reports.

One of the suspects was wounded and captured, but another ran away and was still at large.

Fort Worth Police tweeted a photo and name of the fugituive:

The officer, who suffered "life-threatening injuries," was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital, NBC TV affiliate KDFW reported.

The incident began at about 2:45 p.m. local time.
