Lead Stories added Deez Nuts to our Trendolizer Social Media Attention chart after the political alter ego of a Iowa teen consistently commanded a share of online interest (and because the 2016 race is not crazy enough.) Mr. Nuts' candidacy, which was launched by Brady Olson, 15, gained major attention in August when it rated 9% support in a Public Policy poll in North Carolina.

For now, Nuts is independent But his campaign website lists several parties he's considering affiliating with, including the Rent Is Too Damn High Party.
