Did Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro not go to the 2024 Democratic National Convention? No, that's not true: There are several images and videos of Shapiro at the convention. Also, many news sources have reported on Shapiro's presence at the event in Chicago.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) on August 19, 2024, on the official account of Monica Crowley, the former assistant secretary of the treasury. The post read:
🚨 Obama & Biden are bouncing from the DNC before Harris accepts the nomination.
PA Gov Josh Shapiro isn't attending the DNC at all. Neither is Sen John Fetterman, among others.
Don't buy their 'one big happy communist family' BS this week.
Like Kamala, it's all a big fraud
This fact check will only focus on the post's assertion that Shapiro would not be at the convention.
