Did Barron Trump announce, as a social media post claims, that he's dating Sasha Obama and that she "will be his one and only wife"? No, that's not true: The TikTok video says the announcement put Barron's father, President Donald Trump, in the hospital, a made-up event corroborated by no credible information sources. A president disappearing from his announced-in-advance schedule of appearances would have been Fthe subject of worldwide news. In addition, there is no record of a public announcement by Barron Trump of a relationship with Sasha Obama.
The claim originated in a July 8, 2025 TikTok video (archived here) where it was published on the @hooptalk24h account under the title "Baron Trump just announced that Sasha Obama will be his one and only wife". The voice-over opened:
Donald Trump got so mad he rushed to a private hospital.

The next image in the video showed Trump lying in a hospital bed. Reverse image search on Google (archived here) shows no such photo of Trump has been shared on public information sources, even though there was extensive news coverage of his hospitalizations for COVID and after he was injured in an assassination attempt. Multiple clickbait accounts have used AI to creat images of Trump in a hospital bed, but no reliable news site has posted such an image.
Unlike his very-online family, whose posts are prolific, Barron Trump does not post to social media platforms. The @BARRONTRUMP X account, created in August of 2012, has a blue checkmark indicating authenticity, but there have been no posts to it.
Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo!News archived here for any sign of a Trump/Obama offspring relationship announcement and found nothing from evidence-based or official sources, only reposts and copies of the clickbait fake story. The search terms used were: "Barron Trump announce" AND "Sasha Obama" AND wife.
Further indicating it's fake, the video claiming Barron Trump and Sasha Obama will marry includes an often-posted fake clip of a giant Barron Trump at the White House. The giveaway is the common "levitation" error in deepfake videos, in which the person walks on air, as is shown below. In the fake clip, Barron appears to be roughly twice the height of his father, which would make him at least 12 feet tall:
