Is Roland Beainy, the co-owner of Trump Burger restaurants in Texas, being deported? Here is what we know: A spokesperson for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement department told Lead Stories that ICE officers arrested Beainy on May 16, 2025, and he was placed into immigration proceedings. He was released from custody on bond by an immigration judge while the proceedings are under way, the ICE spokesperson said.
The claim about Beainy appeared as a post (archived here) where it was published on Threads on August 3, 2025. It opened:
The owner of Trump Burger is being deported. His green card was revoked. You can't make this shit up.

An ICE spokesperson confirmed to Lead Stories that Beainy was detained via email on August 7, 2025. They wrote:
Despite false claims to the contrary, Roland Mehrez Beainy does not have any immigration benefits that prevented his arrest or removal from the United States.
Beainy is a 28-year-old illegal alien from Lebanon who entered the United States in 2019 as a non-immigrant visitor, but he failed to depart by Feb. 12, 2024, as required under the terms of his admission. ICE officers arrested him on May 16, 2025, and he was placed into immigration proceedings. On June 13, an immigration judge granted his request for bond while he undergoes his proceedings.
Under the current administration, ICE is committed to restore integrity to our nation's immigration system by holding all individuals accountable who illegally enter the country or overstay the terms of their admission. This is true regardless of what restaurant you own or political beliefs you might have.
Beainy's detention was first mentioned in court documents filed on June 9, 2025 in a lawsuit over the ownership of the Trump Burger restaurants, which has several locations in Texas:
We have been notified that Roland Beainy is currently detained by ICE and his green card has been revoked. He is no longer recognized as a leaseholder or authorized representative of Trump Burger Kemah LLC.

Here is the background on the lawsuit:
Beainy filed it in Harris County, Texas, against 409 Bradford LLC, All Tex Personnel LLC and Archie Patterson. Patterson owns the property where Beainy's Trump Burger restaurant was located. Beainy claims he signed a lease agreement with Patterson on Jan. 28, 2025, to locate a Trump Burger restaurant there. He claims he was forced off of the property. Patterson responded and noted in Exhibit E of the lawsuit the reasons for the termination of the lease, listing issues related to safety in the establishment, but also stated Beainy was in ICE custody.
Patterson said "Beainy was in ICE custody for approximately seven weeks and that he was recently released on bond," according to an interview on July 7, with the Fayetteville County Record (archived here).
The Trump Burger restaurant in Kemah, Texas has been renamed MAGA Burger after the Trump Organization sent a cease and desist letter on Feb. 3 demanding that they stop using the Trump name in the business not owned by the Trump Organization, the Fayetteville County Record also reported.
