Fact Check: Adam Sandler Has NOT Been Announced As The Headliner Of The Turning Point USA Super Bowl Halftime Show No Proof

Was Adam Sandler announced as the headliner of the Turning Point USA Super Bowl halftime show? No, that's not true: No evidence accompanied the claim that the Hollywood star was announced as the headliner for Turning Point USA 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. The TPUSA website does not have any information about any performers for the show as of publication date and there are no legitimate news reports that Sandler will be the headliner. The story, from a fake news site, was promoted by a Facebook page managed from Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Philippines and Russia.

The claim appeared in an October 19, 2025 post on Facebook account @MelodicComedy (archived here). It opened:

HOLLYWOOD JUST SHOT BACK.
The escalating culture war just found its new battleground: the Super Bowl Halftime Show. As the biggest sporting event in America faces unprecedented backlash, Turning Point USA -- the conservative powerhouse -- has dropped a nuclear bomb on mainstream media, announcing a competing "All-American Halftime" event headlined by comedy legend and cultural icon Adam Sandler!

This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

Turning Point USA announced (archived here) on October 9, 2025, that it would be hosting a Super Bowl halftime show. The conservative organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk promoted the show as counter-programming following conservative backlash about the NFL Super Bowl's announcement that its halftime performer would be Bad Bunny, who has been criticized for singing in Spanish.

TPUSA social media accounts direct viewers to the website AmericanHalftimeShow.com (archived here) for details about the show but there are not any performers or a location listed as of October 21, 2025. The American Halftime Show website lists the basic details of the event: It will be held February 8, 2026, and is "celebrating faith, family and freedom" as this screenshot shows:

The post has a link to a news article on a website that is filled with spam and popups and that presents text as images instead of text, which could thwart automated plagiarism detection tools. The article makes the same claims as the post, that Sandler is going to be the headliner for the TPUSA Super Bowl halftime show.

The page transparency tab of the "Melodic Comedy" Facebook page (archived here) indicates it is being managed by people from Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Philippines and Russia as this screenshot shows:

Had Sandler headlining the show been announced publicly it would have been major news. A Google search (archived here) found no actual news reports of Sandler's participation. Similarly, the Yahoo! News index of partner news sites and news services (archived here) turned up no legitimate news reports that he would be the headliner for TPUSA's Super Bowl halftime show.

Lead Stories reached out to Sandler's representative for a comment and will update the story when a response is received.
