Does a viral video show authentic clips of four "Evangelical" pastors preaching against conservative positions on the border wall, guns, abortion and oil drilling? No, that's not true: The clips are lifted from an online account that describes itself as "Using AI to show a parallel universe." None of the quotes from the sermons in the video were found in the Google News index of thousands of news sites.
The video appeared in an October 25, 2025 X post (archived here) where it was published on the @PopularLiberal account with the text: "BOOM! ALABAMA CHURCH BOMBSHELL:". It opened:
Guided in Grace drops the mic--"Evangelical churches were so FAR RIGHT that some have GONE LEFT."
From the heart of the Bible Belt, a pastor's raw truth shatters the echo chamber. This isn't rebellion--it's revelation. The faithful are waking up, ditching the cult for Christ. Can you even BELIEVE this fire from an Alabama pulpit?
The tide is turning. Who's next?
Here's what the opening segment of the video looked like on X at the time this fact check was written:

The video consists of five clips of four pastors, all found in longer videos on an Instagram account called guided_in_graces (archived here).
The account's bio says it is "Using AI to show a parallel universe," in this case that is a universe in which fiery preachers with southern drawls say that policies popular with Evangelical Christians are at odds with the teachings of Jesus:

The guided_in_graces Instagram account offers multiple videos of AI-generated sermons. Those are the material from which the @PopularLiberal video on X was assembled.
First in the @PopularLiberal montage on X was this guided_in_graces AI pastor, gray-haired and wearing a business suit and the clerical collar usually associated with Catholic and Episcopalian priests:

That clip includes the suit-and-collar preacher saying:
We got folks saying America First when Jesus said the last shall be first. We're building walls, when Christ tore down every dividing wall between us.
Lead Stories searched for that quote using the Google News index of thousands of news sites and found (archived here) no public reporting of a pastor saying that.
Next, starting at 00:00:10 of the @PopularLiberal montage, a second guided_in_graces AI pastor appears, this one in a black pulpit robe and what appears to be a white turtleneck:

That clip includes the robed preacher saying:
You can't worship God and power.. Christianity ain't about building walls. It's about bigger tables. Not about protecting what's ours, but about sharing.
Lead Stories searched for that quote using the Google News index of thousands of news sites and found (archived here) no public reporting of a pastor saying that.
At 00:00:19 of the @PopularLiberal montage, a third AI guided_in_graces pastor appears, also wearing a clerical collar with a black suit, but balding unlike the first collared preacher:

The snippet in the @PopularLiberal montage has the second collared pastor saying:
The loudest Christians today would have been the first to turn away Mary and Joseph. The Christianity on TV, that ain't the Christianity...
Lead Stories searched for that quote using the Google News index of thousands of news sites and found (archived here) no public reporting of a pastor saying that.
The @PopularLiberal montage cuts him off mid-sentence and at 00:00:26, a fourth guided_in_graces AI pastor appears, this one wearing the formal "preaching bands" worn in some Christian pulpits.

The @PopularLiberal montage starts midway into a sentence:
... pro guns, but pro life. That's pro drill baby drill, pro-life, but no refugees. Which life matters to you?
Lead Stories searched for that quote using the Google News index of thousands of news sites and found (archived here) no public reporting of a pastor saying that.
The final segment of the @PopularLiberal begins at 00:00:47, with the return of the collared pastor and a slightly longer version of the earlier clip:
Ever notice how the loudest Christians today would have been the first to turn away Mary and Joseph? The Christianity on TV, that ain't the Christianity ...
