Fact Check: TPUSA Kid Rock Half Time Show NOT Canceled -- Confusion With Different Show Cancelation Other Show

Was Turning Point USA's alternative Super Bowl halftime show with Kid Rock canceled after too many artists dropped out, as viral online rumors say? No, that's not true: There have been no announcements about a cancelation of TPUSA's "All American Halftime Show". The rumor likely originated from confusion with the cancellation of a single South Carolina tour stop in a Kid Rock headlined event next summer where several artists dropped out.

One example of the claim could be seen in a post on Facebook (archived here) published on February 8, 2026 that read:

Kid Rock alternative half time show under Turning Point cancelled as artists dropped out due to pedophile lyrics in his Cool, Daddy Cool song. People against pedophiles and pedophile references have spoken! No tolerance or forgiveness.

This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

The link in the post (archived here) did not go to any announcement about a canceled event.

There was no news about a cancelation on the website for the event (archived here) either, and at the time of writing the latest post on TPUSA's X account was still showing a countdown video to the livestreamed event (archived here).

The rumor likely arose because of confusion with the cancellation of a different event with Kid Rock that was scheduled to take place in Anderson, South Carolina on July 25-26 2026, as reported by Billboard (archived here):

Rock the Country's South Carolina Stop Canceled After Several Artists Exit Tour
Anderson, S.C., was removed from the fest's schedule this week as the lineup shifted for the multi-date, Kid Rock-led event.

Amid Rock the Country's lineup disruptions this week -- with artists including Shinedown, Ludacris, Morgan Wade and Carter Faith making exits -- the festival's July 25-26 weekend in Anderson, S.C., is no longer on the schedule.

A Google News search for the phrase "Kid Rock halftime show canceled" only brought up results about the canceled event in Anderson (archived here), not about the halftime show which is a livestream only event.
