Is a video that shows an elderly Michael Jackson sitting on a bus in Brazil legitimate? No, that's not true: The video was originally posted by an account with a bio that states it is an artificial intelligence portal. An AI-generated content detection tool rated the video 94.2% likely to be AI-generated. Jackson died in 2009 and Lead Stories obtained his updated death certificate that confirmed the day he died as June 25, 2009.

Jackson died on June 25, 2009. Lead Stories obtained his amended death certificate in 2019. It clearly stated: Michael Joseph Jackson died on June 25, 2009, and was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial in Glendale, California, on August 3, 2009. This is a close-up view of the 3rd page of the updated death certificate, showing Jackson was buried, not cremated. It would be a criminal offense if the funeral director provided false information for the document, so Lead Stories accepts it as authentic.
