Does an authentic video show a man tearing down a Trump banner at the Department of Justice? No, that's not true: The account that originally posted the video described the footage as "AI daydreaming." There are obvious signs of AI in the video plus an online detection tool rated it likely to be an AI-generated video. There are no credible news reports of a man tearing the banner down from the Department of Justice.
The claim appeared in a June 16, 2026, video posted on the X account @Suzierizzo1 (archived here). It said:
A man dressed in all black scaled the Department of Justice building and tore down the Banner of Trump. How do you feel about this?

AI indicators
A close look at the video reveals signs that it was generated using AI:
- The person's right arm goes completely through the banner from behind at 0:07.
- A close-up of the arm that pulls the banner down shows it is unrealistically through the banner at 0:20.
- The person's body and clothes lack definition. They are wearing a black outfit with no identifying features of pants or a jacket.
This screenshot shows the arm going through the banner:

Had a man ripped down the banner of President Donald Trump from the Department of Justice it would have been major news. Lead Stories searched Google (archived here) and Yahoo News (archived here) and did not find any matching reports of the incident.
