It was originally published by an account called Built With AI which promotes a platform that teaches people how to make realistic AI characters and turn them into videos. The OpenAI verification tool determined the content was made with OpenAI tools; a SynthID watermark was detected.
The fake video was republished in a post (archived here) by the X account @FunAndFabj5ew on July 26, 2026. It was captioned:

A July 26, 2026, reshare of the video (archived here) credited the Instagram account @built.with.ai_, where an early copy of the video was posted on July 23, 2026 (archived here). The video was also uploaded to TikTok by @built_with.ai on July 24, 2026 (archived here) with a "Creator labeled as AI-generated" disclaimer. Both account bios link to a monthly membership lesson program (archived here) which advertises:

Pictured below are two screenshots from the TikTok video which show moments, at approximately 5 and 12 seconds, where the hands of the characters in the video are rendered with glitches which are typical of AI-generated content.
