The claim appeared in a post (archived here) made on X by @ai_videoss, published on December 22, 2025. The post included a video of what appeared to be a structure falling, with a caption that read:

As its name suggests, the X account that posted the video, @ai_videoss (archived here), exclusively posts AI-generated videos.
The video was run through the Hive AI detection tool, which concluded that it was 99.9% "likely to be [an] AI-Generated Video." The screenshot below shows the results of the tool's analysis:

Searches on Google News (archived here) and Yahoo News (archived here) of the phrase "subway line collapsed in Taiwan" did not return any credible reports of such an incident.
