Does a real video show a helicopter landing upside down and then flopping over in a field while bystanders watch in the distance? No, that's not true: The Hive Moderation content detection tool determined the video was 95.2% likely to be AI-generated. After a visual inspection, Lead Stories found several AI characteristic glitches in both visual continuity and human behavior within the video.
The video appeared in a post (archived here) published by the @msiziworld account on X on Aug. 13, 2026. It was captioned:

This same video was uploaded to TikTok by an account called @the.worldai on Aug. 13, 2026 (archived here). The video has a disclaimer label which says, "Contains AI-generated media."
Lead Stories uploaded a short clip from the X video to the Hive Moderation content detection tool (pictured below). The tool gave a rating of 95.2% likely that the input was AI-generated (archived here).

There are also several glitches or errors typical of those found in AI-generated videos, both in visual continuity and in human behavior. As the video opens, the helicopter is descending rotors-first toward the grassy field. A cloud of dust and debris is churned up directly under the helicopter, but the tall grass and meadow flowers in the foreground do not blow in the wash of the rotors. In the background a group of bystanders stands watching as this happens.
After the helicopter crashes and flops over on its side, the bystanders in the distance stand almost motionless and do not rush to help. The pilot's seatbelt straps transform into suspenders for his pants after he exits the crashed helicopter. Before the crash, there were two people strapped in their seats clearly visible through the front windows of the helicopter. At the moment of the crash, one person vanishes and is not seen again. The pilot gets out and stands looking at the wreck with his hands on his hips -- he does not move to aid the other person who was next to him moments before the crash.
