Fact Check: FAKE 'Leaked Video' Of FlyDubai Pilot Argument Is AI-Generated -- Audio Is From 2017 Road-Rage Clip AI Pilots

Does a real "leaked video" show an argument between FlyDubai pilots? No, that's not true: An AI detection tool assessed the clip and concluded that it was 95.8% "Likely to be AI-generated," while the audio came from a 2017 road-rage video. Lead Stories found no matching news reports about a leaked video involving FlyDubai pilots.

The claim appeared in a video (archived here) posted by the @WireSpy92 account on X on Oct. 1, 2026. The caption in the video read:

Background

On Sept. 30, 2026, a FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv carrying 174 people made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after its co-pilot stabbed the captain and attempted to crash the plane (archived here). The aircraft rapidly descended from about 33,000 feet to 17,000 feet in roughly a minute before the wounded captain opened the cockpit door, allowing a passenger and a crew member to subdue the attacker while other crew members regained control. The plane landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, and the co-pilot was arrested; his motive remains under investigation.
