Fact Check: Video Does NOT Show Mike Lindell Headed To Texas After 2026 Midterms -- Altered Clip From 2023 2023 Video

Does a video really show Mike Lindell after the 2026 midterm election driving recklessly fast toward Texas and not looking at the road? No, that's not true: This video clip originally showed Lindell in a parked car during an appearance that aired on Steve Bannon's "War Room" in 2023. The video clip was altered shortly after its release in 2023, adding moving background scenery and fast car sounds, and was circulated as a joke. Then, the altered clip resurfaced on X after the midterms in 2026.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) by the @CattardSlim account on X on Nov. 4, 2026. It read:

Mike Lindell on his way to Texas

This is what a screenshot of the video in the post looked like at the time of writing:

The original clip was posted on X (archived here) by @RonFilipkowski on March 27, 2023. This clip was altered by @McJesse on March 30, 2023 (archived here). The transcript of Lindell's message in the original clip remains unchanged in the altered clip -- the fast car sounds were added to the existing audio. A caption by @McJesse acknowledged the change:

I made it look like the car's moving and it's 100x better.

In both 28-second clips, Lindell says:

And we're still doing we still have some of those all season slippers left at $25 a pair, to thank all of you out there for the great -- for supporting us. Supporting us through all this. My employees, we've lost our box stores, our shopping channels. We get attacked every single day. And MyPillow should not have to be attacked when they're protecting companies out there that we never heard the names of before... which I don't need to name all the voting machine companies but...

A different portion of Mike Lindell's appearance on Steve Bannon's "War Room" on Real America's Voice was shared by @patriottakes on March 27, 2023 (archived here). This clip includes a split screen with Steve Bannon (pictured below). This cuts away to a full screen shot of Lindell seated in his car. Lindell is dressed in camouflage outdoor gear and his car is parked and not moving. The post is captioned:

Mike Lindell took a break from hunting snow geese to go on Steve Bannon's War Room to attack Ron DeSantis:

'I bash Ron DeSantis, called him the Trojan horse again, and I stand by what I say.'

The altered video clip surfaced again in 2024 when it was fact checked by Newsweek (archived here) and Gizmodo (archived here).
