NOTE UPDATE: Read: Cop Fired For Dragging Girl In S.C. High School: Video Sickens Sheriff
A short video clip recorded by another student shows a campus police officer knocking a female student to the floor and dragging her across the classroom at a South Carolina high school.
Witnesses said the student had refused to leave the class, but the was sitting quietly and calmly in her desk when officer reacted violently.
The officer, identified as Richmond County, S.C., Sheriff's Deputy Ben Fields was placed on administrative duty while the incident is investigated. The incident happened at Spring Valley High School in Columbia, S.C.
