Tech: Virtual Reality Model Of Taiwan Earthquake Zone

The devastation of the earthquake in Taiwan early Saturday morning has been captured on several videos and posted on the interwebs, but here is a different way to look at the affected area. Some very talented locals from the earthquake zone have put together a three-dimensional model of the scene.

Posted by modelers from the National Cheng Kung University, the 3D construct of the Wei-guan Golden Dragon Building was made available on the Sketchfab 3D modeling community website just hours after the quake.

The total loss and destruction has yet to be known, and will unfold over the next days and months. Lead Stories will keep you updated on this trending topic.
