Lead Stories Launches AI-Powered FactGPT Fact Checking Chatbot New: FactGPT

As you could tell by the date, this was an April Fools' joke and we didn't really launch a mad conspiracy-spewing AI bot. Hope you enjoyed it!

Colorado Springs - Award-winning fact checking organization Lead Stories is proud to announce the launch of FactGPT, the world's first AI-powered fact checking chatbot.

Combining the power of Lead Stories' database of existing fact checks (supplemented by ClaimReview data), patented Trendolizer technology to detect trending viral content and a huge natural language model in the form of an advanced neural network with over two trillion parameters, FactGPT is capable of instantly generating a fact check based on any claim submitted to it.

The technology works best with prompts in the form of a question (for example "Is Bigfoot real?" or "Is the Moon made of cheese?"). Note that the model is capable of distinguishing opinion from verifiable facts and will not return answers to opinionated questions, for example asking if something is "good", "the best" or "evil".

The service will eventually be deployed as a SaaS (Software as a Service) API that social media platforms can use to automatically fact check all content but for now it is open to the general public for testing and feedback. Try it out below and let us know what you think!
