Fact Check: Satirical Video Does NOT Show Actual Lesbian Mother Describing How She Sued Sperm Donor For 40% Of Paycheck Joke Account

Is a video on social media that shows a lesbian mother describing how she sued her sperm donor for 40 percent of his paycheck authentic? No, that's not true: The creator of this video clearly labels her account a "satire account" in her TikTok bio. Lead Stories has debunked similar claims by this creator in the past.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) on X, formerly Twitter, on April 18, 2024. It began:

Remember the Lesbian Lady that spoke about looking for her sperm donor?

She successfully sued her Sperm donor and got a 40% of his pay check.

BRuh 🤦‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️

A watch 📌

This is what the post looked like on X at the time of the writing of this fact check:

In the video, the woman explains that she is a lesbian and wanted to use a sperm donor to have a baby. She said she bought sperm from a sperm bank and had a baby. She claimed she was a stay-at-home mom, supported by her girlfriend, but when the two broke up she needed financial support. The woman said she contacted a friend who worked at the sperm bank who gave her the donor's information. She claimed that she met the man in person and eventually got his DNA. She then supposedly sued him and won 40 percent of his paycheck as child support.

The original video (archived here) was posted on TikTok on April 15, 2024. The username, @isatandstared (archived here), can be seen in the woman's video posted on X.

As seen below, the woman's account bio on TikTok identifies it as a "satire account."

In December 2023, Lead Stories fact-checked a claim from this account that a woman was planning to sue her son's school since it would not recognize him as a cat.
