Fact Check: Biden Did NOT Say He Had Sex With The NATO Secretary-General's Wife Said 'Talking'

Did President Joe Biden say he had sex with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg's wife at the NATO summit in Washington in July 2024, as a social media post claims? No, that's not true: The official White House transcript of the president's remarks reflect that he said "I was talking to your wife." That's easily confirmed by the video in the post, in which Biden can be clearly heard saying "I was talking to your wife ..." while standing next to Stoltenberg.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) on X, formerly known as Twitter, on July 9, 2024. It began:

Biden:

'I realized I was fvckin' your wife'?

This is how the post appeared on X at the time of writing:

According to the official White House transcript (archived here) "Remarks by President Biden on the 75th Anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Alliance," when Biden was speaking on stage with Stoltenberg he said, "I was talking to your wife":

Mr. Secretary, you've guided this alliance through one of the most consequential periods in its history. I realize I -- as I was talking to your wife -- I personally asked you to extend your service. (Laughs.) Forgive me. (Laughter.) And you put your own plans on hold.

A video posted on the Global News YouTube (archived here) channel from the event shows Biden saying he was speaking to Stoltenberg's wife beginning at the 23:08 mark:

A search of keywords on Google News, visible here (archived here), found no credible reporting as of July 10, 2024, to corroborate the claim that Biden said he was "fvckin" Stoltenberg's wife.

Lead Stories debunked the claim that Biden called Stoltenberg an "intellectual wigger" at the NATO summit here.
