Fact Check: Photo Of Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton Together NOT From November 2024 Post-Election Old Image

Does a viral image portray Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton together "after the election results" in 2024? No, that's not true: The image was online before that. Harris' and Clinton's outfits in the picture match what they wore for the November 3, 2022, event in New York where they both campaigned for New York Gov. Kathy Hochul.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) on X on November 7, 2024. It said:

Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris after the election results

This is what it looked like on X at the time of writing:

The post, published two days after the election, implied that the photograph captured two female politicians who once were Democratic presidential candidates and lost to Donald Trump, shortly after his victory in 2024 (archived here).

Although Harris wore a black suit for her 2024 concession speech (archived here), that alone doesn't place the image in the early hours or days after the publication of the election results.

A reverse image search on Google showed that the image had been circulating online before. For example, a larger, better-quality version of it appeared on Pinterest:

The Pinterest post (archived here) didn't display the publication date, but when Lead Stories searched the post's ID across Pinterest on Google to see when the page was first indexed, it returned the same date: February 20, 2023 (archived here).

In this image, Clinton is seen wearing a necklace with a round pendant and a beige jacket with a dark navy vertical stripe on it. She was photographed (archived here) in that outfit (archived here) during the November 3, 2022, rally for Hochul's New York gubernatorial campaign (archived here) at Barnard College in Manhattan. Harris, who also attended the event, wore a black suit on that day, too.

As better seen in the NBC footage, Harris wore a dark necklace on November 3, 2022, and it was partially visible in the viral image reviewed in this story. She didn't put on any necklaces for her concession speech in 2024.
