Did USAID fund financier and noted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein via the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc.? No, that's not true: A screenshot circulating online on social media actually lists "Jeffrey E Epstein," a different person who is a director at Kaiser Permanente. Several of his online profiles show he sometimes goes by the name of "Jeff Epstein" but his biographical data and pictures are clearly different from the Jeffrey Epstein who passed away in 2019.
One example of the image appeared in a post on X (archived here) published on February 5, 2025 and that read:

Jeffrey Epstein the sex offender died in 2019, so it would be hard for USAID to fund him in 2023 as the screenshot implies.
However, there are several online profiles for Jeffrey E. Epstein (sometimes calling him "Jeff Epstein") that mention he is on the board of Kaiser Permanente, for example this one naming him as "Lead Independent Director, Twilio, Inc.," this one (archived here) naming him as "Head of Corporate Development & Operating Partner," this one (archived here) calling him "Lecturer in Management" or his LinkedIn bio, which calls him "Operating Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners and a Lecturer at Stanford University."
The profile pictures on these bio pages clearly look different from the New York financier known for sex scandals involving minors and who died in a jail cell.
