Fact Check: Altered Image Of Michelle Obama Swapped Her Face With That Of Her Brother Craig Robinson Faces Swapped

Does a social media post stating "Never seen anyone fall off harder" show how Michelle Obama looks in March 2025? No, that's not true: The image in the viral social media post has been edited. The altered promotional Image for "IMO," a podcast featuring Michelle Obama and her older brother Craig Robinson, has the faces of the two hosts switched.

The altered image appeared in a post (archived here) published on X on March 13, 2025. It was captioned:

Never seen anyone fall off harder than Michelle Obama

This is how the post appeared at the time of writing:

The image (pictured above) is altered.

A short promotional clip was posted on the @imopodcasts TikTok account (archived here) on March 12, 2025 featuring Michelle Obama and her older brother Craig Robinson. IMO, the texting abbreviation for "In My Opinion" is a podcast from Higher Ground Media (archived here,) founded by Michelle and Barack Obama. In the Lead Stories composite below, a screenshot from the start of the TikTok clip appears on the left, and on the right is the altered image which was posted on X -- with the faces of the sister and brother swapped.
