Fact Check: CNN Did NOT Air Graphic Saying 'Trump Helps Curb India's Losses' With Stats Showing India Losing In Conflict With Pakistan CNN Denies

Did CNN air a graphic of statistics from the India-Pakistan conflict that showed India suffered far larger losses than Pakistan and that U.S. President Trump helped "curb India's losses?" No, that's not true: A CNN spokesperson told Lead Stories the global news network did not air the graphic and that it was "fabricated." There are no official numbers of jets, drones, tanks, soldiers, and civilians lost by India and Pakistan during the May 2025 fighting, but each side claims killing dozens of the other country's troops.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) shared on X on May 11, 2025. It featured the purported CNN graphic with an introduction that read:

BOOM! CNN has exposed the brutal reality of the India-Pakistan conflict. India suffered: 6 jets down (incl. Rafales), 553 drones lost, 11 airbases hit, 21 soldiers & 19 civilians dead, even an S-400 destroyed. Pakistan? ZERO jet losses, ZERO tanks lost, only 1 soldier martyred. This isn't propaganda--it's CNN. Pakistan's defense might, precision, and resilience have left the world stunned. #PakistanZindabad #CNNExposesIndia #IAFvsPAF #SouthAsiaRealityCheck

Lead Stories reached out to CNN for comment on the claim and the response from CNN spokeswoman Lauren Cone was direct:

We can confirm that this graphic is fabricated and not something CNN has reported.

Officials of both countries have not outlined specific numbers of their losses as of this writing, but the Associated Press did report on their general claims in this article.
