Fact Check: 'Monetizing MAGA' Panel Featuring Donald Trump Jr. WAS On Qatar Economic Forum Agenda Panel Renamed

Did the schedule of the 2025 Qatar Economic Forum include a panel titled "Monetizing MAGA", with President Donald Trump's son Donald Jr. announced to speak there? Yes, that's true: An archived version of the page confirms that. Later, the panel was renamed but it still featured Donald Trump Jr.

The statement appeared in a post (archived here) on X where it was published on May 4, 2025. It opened:

Interesting panel on 'Monetizing MAGA' at this year's Qatar Economic Forum!

The entry shared an image that read:

Monetizing MAGA: Investing in Trump's America

Based two miles from Mar-a-Lago, 1789 Capital sits near the epicenter of Trumpworld. We hear from Donald Trump Jr. and Omeed Malik on chasing profit in the United States 'parallel' economy of right-leaning ventures and understand how their investments could impact American society.

As of May 6, 2025, the forum's website did not display such a panel. A session featuring Donald Trump Jr., also known as Don Jr., had a different description (archived here):

However, an archived version of that page saved on May 4, 2025, when the image started making rounds on social media, showed that the panel with U.S. President Donald Trump's eldest child did have the exact description seen in the viral screen capture.

The phrase "Monetizing MAGA", formerly used in the session's title, appears to have originated from the March 10, 2025, Bloomberg article (archived here) about Don Jr. and the venture capital firm employing him that was still mentioned, as of this writing, in the panel's description.
