Fact Check: FAKE Video Shows White Man at Zoo Arguing With Black Woman Over Anti-Trump Hat Actors Acting

Did a widely-shared video show a white man at a zoo, arguing with a Black woman over her anti-Donald Trump hat? No, that's not true: The people in the video were simply acting out a scripted scenario. The page that posted the sketch routinely publishes similar scripted scenarios, and is affiliated with Network Media, a company that rents out film sets to various online "content producers".

The video was posted to Facebook on June 28, 2025 (archived here), and garnered 11 million views in less than two days. It bore the caption "saw a fight break out at the zoo over what it says on this lady's hat 😱" and showed what appeared to be a white man and Black woman at a zoo, arguing over her right to wear an anti-Trump hat, and its message.

The red hat with white lettering at first glance resembled the pro-Trump "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" hat, but on closer inspection read "MADE YA LOOK -- FUCK TRUMP".

The video can be watched below:

In reality, those were actors simply performing a scripted scenario.

The page that posted the video, Beverley Hills Drama Team, routinely publishes similar sketches. The actors in the June 28 video were Jon W and Ebony Merkerson, "content creators" who have featured in similar sketches previously debunked by Lead Stories.

Beverley Hills Drama Team, Jon W and Ebony Merkerson all state in their Facebook page descriptions that their pages are run by "JS HOLDINGS 1 NM LLC", a company whose subsidiary, Network Media, rents out film sets to "content producers" and helps them to produce and publish similar scripted scenes:
