Did a viral clip show the actor Wyatt Russell giving an impassioned speech to federal agents in Los Angeles, amid protests against ICE roundups in June 2025? No, that's not true: A Democratic strategist named Aaron Fisher told Lead Stories he was the man shown in the clip. A representative for Russell had earlier denied the actor gave the speech.
The claim appeared in a June 9, 2025, post on X (archived here), which consisted of a clip of the man scolding federal agents and accusing them of being "on the wrong side of history", along with the following text caption:
MUST WATCH!!! Wyatt Russell is NOT on social media.
He is the son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn and he speaks the truth.
Drop a 💙 for Wyatt and Share ♻️this ALL OVER social media.

In reality, the man was not Russell. In an email sent to Lead Stories, a Democratic strategist named Aaron Fisher confirmed earlier reports that he was the man shown making the impassioned speech.
Separately, Bryna Rifkin, a representative for Russell, told Rolling Stone magazine "This is indeed not Wyatt Russell".
