Fact Check: Photo Of Melania Trump Kissing Jeffrey Epstein Is Fake -- Colbert Didn't Air It AI Made It

Is a photo showing Melania Trump kissing Jeffrey Epstein an authentic image and was it "unseen" until aired by Stephen Colbert? No, that's not true: The photo is not real and it was not shown on an episode of CBS's "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." The Hive Moderation AI content detection tool rated the image as 99% fake.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) shared on X on August 12, 2025. The caption below the image read "EPSTEIN F*CKED HER." Below that was a screenshot from a YouTube video that read:

Trump GOES NUTS After Stephen Colbert AIRS Melania's UNSEEN Epstein Secrets On Live TV

This is what the post looked like at the time of writing:

The Hive Moderation AI content detection tool concluded with a 99.9% certainty that the image was "likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content."

A search of YouTube for videos that matched the title in the meme found several examples using the fake photo as a thumbnail image, but none of them actually included the image in the video.

None of the videos included a clip of Colbert talking about the image. A reverse image search found no other examples of the image online.

A search (archived here) of X.com for any reaction to a Colbert segment including the image also found nothing beyond the meme fact-checked in this article.

A search of President Donald Trump's post on his Truth Social timeline also revealed posts criticizing Colbert, but none supported the claim that "Trump GOES NUTS After Stephen Colbert AIRS Melania's UNSEEN Epstein Secrets On Live TV."
