Does a post on Facebook provide leaked footage of Charlie Kirk in the hospital after he was shot that shows him alive and interacting with people? No, that's not true: The post that made the claim does not deliver any footage. The image purporting to be a screenshot of a news story shows "ROX News" not FOX News and gets the graphic wrong on Kirk's t-shirt. The links provided, which claim to direct users to such footage, are spam-filled websites with no actual footage of Kirk in the hospital after he was shot.
The claim appeared in a September 23, 2025 post on the Facebook account @SJW Champion (archived here). It opened:

This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

The image used in the post looks similar to a FOX News broadcast, but the name of the news station is "ROX News" and the headline is the nonsensical "New Footage Viral" as this screenshot shows (red circle added by Lead Stories):

The Facebook account appears to be a clickbait account that promotes false stories to attract Facebook users. The transparency page (archived here) for @SJWChampions shows the page managers are based in Vietnam, as this screenshot shows:

The post includes a link to an article published on a website that is filled with pop-up advertisements. The article refers readers to a YouTube video that has since been taken down. Lead Stories viewed the video before it was taken down and it did not contain any actual video of Kirk in the hospital alive after being shot. The article describes footage that was "reportedly taken from inside the intensive care unit" as this screenshot shows:
The Video That Shouldn't Exist
The footage, reportedly taken from inside the intensive care unit, shows Charlie Kirk awake, talking with visitors -- not unconscious, not sedated, but alert. In one clip, he appears to gesture emphatically, mouthing words that lip readers claim include phrases like "they set me up" and "not an accident."
If this footage is authentic, it directly contradicts everything the public has been told. The question is: why?
The article does not include footage of Kirk in the hospital after he was shot during an appearance at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. Multiple social media posts claim to show footage of Kirk in the hospital, including this one (archived here) and this one (archived here), using a thumbnail image of what looks like Kirk lying on the floor surrounded by law enforcement, but none show actual footage of Kirk.
Kirk was wearing a white t-shirt that read "freedom" when he was shot, as a photo published on ABC News (archived here) shows. Lead Stories searched Google Lens for the image in the post of a body in a white t-shirt that said "freedom," on a floor surrounded by law enforcement and found no other instances of such an image.
The ABC News footage taken just seconds before the shooting showed Kirk in a t-shirt with an all-capital-letters graphic that said FREEDOM. The t-shirt in the fake post has an all-lower-case graphic of the same word:

Following Kirk's death, had footage emerged of him in the hospital alive, it would have been widely reported, as the Kirk shooting dominated U.S. news for two weeks. A Google search (archived here) found no actual news reports that there was new footage of Kirk in the hospital after he was shot.
Similarly, the Yahoo! News index of partner news sites and news services (archived here) showed no legitimate news reports that there was video of Kirk in the hospital after he was shot.
