Fact Check: Video Depicting Incident On A Bus Is NOT Real -- Military Man, Pregnant Woman, And Stubborn Seated Passenger Were Played By Actors Staged Skit

Did a bus passenger refuse to move her bag to make a seat for a pregnant woman, causing a man in a military uniform to stand up to intervene? No, that's not true: This complicated interaction between several people on a bus is not real. The video was produced by an account specializing in skits which has the disclaimer, "I like to show magic & recreate real life stories.. enjoy and welcome to my show".

The video appeared in a post (archived here) published by @TheRodrigoShow on Facebook on Jan. 31, 2025. The post was captioned:

Military man stands for pregnant woman on public transportation!

This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

The Facebook page The Rodrigo Show has this intro:

Hi, I'm Rodrigo Navarro! Magician & Content creator I like to show magic & recreate real life stories.. enjoy and welcome to my show

The page has published many reels (archived here). Several settings, such as a commercial airplane and a grocery store, appear repeatedly in the channel's videos and provide the context for "people behaving badly" skits. The same public-transportation-style bus appears three times (marked in red below) as the setting for skits about over-the-top confrontations between passengers.
