Fact Check: Proud Boys Founder Enrique Tarrio Did NOT Say He Is In ICE He Denies

Did Proud Boys founder Enrique Tarrio say he works for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement? No, that's not true. Tarrio sarcastically replied to a tweet claiming his name appeared on a leaked list of ICE employees, but later clarified that he does not work for the agency.

The claim originated from a January 13, 2026, post by Tarrio on his X.com account @NobleOne (archived here). It opened:

A list I'm finally happy to be part of....

This is what the post looked like on X.com at the time of writing:

The message Tarrio was responding to was posted on X.com account @OMG_WTF_GTFO (archived here). He posted a subsequent message on his X account (archived here) denying he works for ICE, as the screenshots below show. Henry Enrique Tarrio, who uses his middle name, wrote that he did not work for ICE:

I FUCKING WISH I WORKED FOR ICE.

A brothah needs those 50k. And what a joy would it be to target the nannies and lawn workers of liberals. You want to really get deportations going? Hire the FUCKING ProudBoys.

On a serious note: I have received a heavy influx of death threats since these retards decided to post this. It's their goal to spread disinfo so the IDIOTS that believe this take action.

I've also received many media requests from mainstream outlets. They didn't even bother to look at the names listed. If they did they'd see it's in order by last names and mine isn't. You can't hate these people enough. They belong in prison!

Personal details of thousands of people who are allegedly employed by ICE were leaked, according to news reports including the Daily Beast (archived here). The list (archived here) does include "Enrique Tarrio" as of January 15, 2026, but lists him as a "propagandist" and "agitator," as this screenshot shows:
