Fact Check: Exposed Shirt Cuff Does NOT Prove Netanyahu Video Is AI Generated -- Suit Sleeve Moved When His Arm Extended Looks Normal

Does a video of Benjamin Netanyahu have a glitch that proves the video was AI generated? No, that's not true: In the video, he moves his hands on and off the sides of a lectern frequently during a speech, and his shirt cuffs are exposed and covered at different moments. Typical of tailored clothing, when he extends his arms, the suit sleeves move up his arm. There is nothing suspicious about the shirt cuff showing as the jacket sleeve draws back. The Israeli prime minister was broadcast live by the Government Press Office.

The eight-second clip (archived here) was posted on X by @p_pers008 on March 19, 2026. It is captioned:

Above left hand palm shirt and suit hand sleeve sudden appears... it's AI

The original video (archived here) titled "Live broadcast: A statement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the media, broadcast via the GPO" was streamed live by Israel's Government Press Office on March 19, 2026. The GPO video on YouTube is available in a high-definition resolution of 1,080 pixels, while the clip on X is only 490 pixels.
The live broadcast begins with nothing happening on the stage for several minutes except for a few people setting up. At the 14-minute 38-second mark a second camera angle shows Netanyahu arriving and approaching the stage (pictured below).

At the 14-minute 43-second mark, the broadcast switches back to the original camera's view of the stage. Before he begins speaking Netanyahu adjusts his papers. At the 14-minute 54-second mark he adjusts the microphone (pictured below), and then rests his hands on the lectern. The light cuffs of his shirt are visible in varying degrees as he moves.

The short clip on X was taken from the 24-minute 27-second mark in the YouTube broadcast. At that moment, Netanyahu enumerates the first two of three points:

One, removing the nuclear threat.
Second, removing the ballistic missile threat.

The GPO video is embedded below, queued to begin at the moment in question. There is nothing unusual about the way the light shirt cuff is exposed as Netanyahu shifts his weight with his hands resting on the sides of the lectern. This is not proof of an AI-generated video.
