Does a video from the Epstein Files show Kamala Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff, in a private helicopter at an airport? No, that's not true: There is no evidence this video came from Department of Justice's public release of "Epstein Files". None of the social media posts with the video contain a file number from the release. Additionally Doug Emhoff and the man pictured have different facial features.
It would be simple to demonstrate something is from the Epstein Files by providing the file number. There is no way to search for a video in the Epstein Library without the file number. An Epstein Library search does return Emhoff's name four times. Each instance appeared in a lengthy FBI public affairs bulletin in a context unrelated to Epstein.
The video was republished in a post (archived here) published by @BGatesIsaPyscho on X on March 15, 2026. It was captioned:
🚨 Social Media is awash with speculation that this is Doug Emhoff who is Kamala Harris's husband - in the Epstein files - riding a private Helicopter with Jeffrey himself.
It's one big obvious club!

A photo of Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff (pictured below) was also included with the post. Reverse image search with Google Lens shows a similar Shutterstock image (archived here) taken at the 87th Academy Awards, Vanity Fair After Party in Los Angeles on Feb. 22, 2015.

No Searchable File Number Given
The video has a watermark from a TikTok account @todddoyle558, an account set to private (archived here). Amid the TikTok search results for "todddoyle558" are four reposts of this video, all reposted by different accounts on Feb. 16, 2026 (one example archived here). Another copy of the video was reposted on X (archived here) the same day. None of the reposts contain the basic proof of authenticity a document from the Epstein Files should have, a traceable file number from the .gov domain of the Department of Justice Epstein Library. This unsourced video is presented without a date, a location or a context.
The Epstein Files are known to be difficult to navigate, and video files even more so. To begin, a person must verify they are 18 years old. The DOJ file numbering system begins with "EFTA" (Epstein Files Transparency Act) followed by eight digits and .PDF. A file number search will provide a link to a .PDF file. If the number was associated with a video, the PDF will not open properly, instead a blank page opens with a notice:
No Images Produced
A person can manually edit the URL from a .PDF to a .mp4 and the video will display. Above are screenshots from these two URLS:
https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%2010/EFTA01600798.pdf
https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%2010/EFTA01600798.mp4
For this example Lead Stories used a real Epstein file video, aerial footage of Little Saint James Island. Some of the about 2,000 videos in the Epstein files are redacted; they may contain commercial pornography, explicit material, or criminal sexual abuse. It is not possible to simply browse through all the videos. The DOJ has provided this caution:
Some of the library's contents include descriptions of sexual assault. As such, please be advised that certain portions of this library may not be appropriate for all readers.
The Faces Don't Match
The video in question seems to have a blue filter added which makes it difficult to see the man's features to compare with Doug Emhoff's. Lead Stories used Adobe Photoshop's color correction tools to remove much of the blue cast from the video screenshot without making any other alterations. A 2021 photo of Emhoff published in a CNN article (archived here) served as the comparison image. The facial structure of the two men differs greatly. This is especially noticeable in the slope and curve of their foreheads, the shape of their ear cartilage, and the angle of their nostrils. They are not the same person.

Emhoff's Name Is In The Epstein Files
A search for "Emhoff" in the Epstein Library returns four results from DataSet 9. These four instances do not point to any connection between Emhoff and Epstein.

Each of the four files is a news briefing bulletin, all were published after Epstein's 2019 death. These are news digests sorted into categories, produced for the FBI by bulletinintelligence.com. The website describes their product:
Designed for C-Suites and available enterprise-wide, our briefings are written by expert analysts and fully customized to the unique priorities of each client.
The links appearing at the top of the PDF documents are no longer operational and direct to this notice:
Bulletin Intelligence is no longer providing the FBI News Briefing. Access to this site is no longer available.
The news briefings were delivered in the form of an "external email" and the subject lines are formatted as this example:
FBI Public Affairs News Briefing Tuesday, February 23, 2021
Some of the headers have redactions but the Feb. 23, 2021 bulletin (EFTA00148034.pdf) has <[email protected]> in both the "from:" and "to:" fields. The table of contents is three pages long. The document contains small snippets of news stories with links, 43 pages long in total.
Epstein's name appears four times on page 6 of the .pdf in press reports on remarks made by Merrick Garland about the handling of the Epstein case. Emhoff's name appears once on page 22 in relation to a moment of silence observed for the 500,000 Americans who had died in the COVID pandemic.
