The claim appeared in a post and image (archived here) by the @FeverUpdate account on X on Aug. 10, 2026. It read:
The Indiana Fever have fired head coach Stephanie White following her controversial post-game remarks regarding Dijonai Carrington's foul and actions against Sophie Cunningham.
The decision comes amid mounting backlash, with the team's Board of Directors reportedly calling an emergency meeting to address the situation.
A new head coach is expected to be revealed tomorrow ahead of the Fever's game against the New York Liberty.
