Did Ed Sheeran donate concert tickets to veterans after fans requested refunds over Macklemore's removal from his tour for pro-Palestine statements? No, that's not true: The rumor originated from an account on Facebook that explicitly says that "nothing on this page is real". Lead Stories found zero media coverage corroborating what was shared on social media.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) on X where it was published by the @themamahagan account on Sept. 16, 2026. The caption consisted of one word:

What was shared in the post looked like a screenshot of another post published by another account. This picture continued:
After more than 10,000 leftists asked for refunds for their tickets to Ed Sheeran's show, Sheeran did something nobody expected: He bought the tickets himself and donated them to VetTix, a free service that gives concert and sporting event tickets to low-income veterans.'If people don't want to come, that's their right,' said Sheeran. The page whose name appeared on the top of what seemed to be the screenshot -- America's Last Line of Defense -- indeed published (archived here) the post attributed to it. It went live on its account on Facebook earlier on Sept. 16, 2026.
That account was not a credible news organization. The page's self-description (archived here) read:
The flagship of the ALLOD network of certified trollery and propaganda for cash.
Nothing on this page is real.
The cover picture repeated the point:
It was created by the well known internet troll Christopher Blair aka Busta Troll. It was created to monetize content from gullible MAGA and right-wing Facebook users.
ALLOD is a network of satire websites run by self-professed liberal troll Christopher Blair from Maine along with a loose confederation of friends and allies. He runs several websites and Facebook pages with visible satire disclaimers everywhere. They mostly publish made-up stories with headlines specifically created to trigger Republicans, conservatives and evangelical Christians into angrily sharing or commenting on the story on Facebook without actually reading the full article, exposing them to mockery and ridicule by fans of the sites and pages.

Articles from Blair's sites frequently get copied by "real" fake news sites that omit the satire disclaimer and other hints the stories are fake.
The claim reviewed in this fact check went viral in the aftermath (archived here) of the controversy (archived here) surrounding Sheeran's September 2026 U.S. tour. A search on Google News for the keywords seen here (archived here) showed that unhappy fans indeed started asking for refunds (archived here).
However, no credible media outlets (archived here) reported that the singer donated any unsold tickets (archived here) to what was described in the post as a "free service", "VetTix".
Veteran Tickets Foundation (archived here) -- styled as Vet Tix on its website -- is a real organization, but it serves a broader group than low-income veterans. Its "About" page reads: "Currently serving military, honorably discharged veterans from all branches of service, and family of those Killed In Action are eligible." As of this writing, the list of the organization's current partners said nothing about Sheeran (archived here) personally donating tickets to it:
