Did Nicki Minaj delete her official Instagram account after the Nov. 3, 2026, midterm elections? No, that's not true: Minaj's account has been unavailable for viewing since the end of 2025. There are no reports of her official account being reactivated in 2026.
The claim was made in a post (archived here) on Threads by the account jmatthewcobb on Nov. 4, 2026. The post read:
Elon is deleting tweets.
And Nicki Minaj has deleted her Instagram.
And the nation is healing.
Btw screenshots are forever.

Minaj's account was not "deleted" immediately following the U.S. midterm elections held on Nov. 3, 2026 (archived here). According to a link on Minaj's official website (archived here), her official Instagram account is @nickiminaj (archived here). However, the account was not available at the time of writing.
Billboard (archived here), Complex (archived here), and Forbes (archived here) reported on Minaj deactivating her Instagram account in October 2025. These articles disputed reports -- such as those from HuffPost (archived here) and People (archived here) -- that Minaj deactivated her account in the days following her December 2025 appearance at a Turning Point USA conference. At the event, she shared the stage with Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk (archived here). While Lead Stories could not confirm whether a second deactivation took place between October and December 2025, there is no evidence to suggest that Minaj's account was reactivated at all in 2026.
The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine hosts a collection of archival captures of Minaj's Instagram account. Minaj's account was archived hundreds of times in 2026 through the Wayback Machine, as seen in the screenshot below:

Lead Stories manually checked the archival captures that display a historical version of a URL -- colored blue in the Wayback Machine -- from 2026. None of them showed Minaj's account.
Searches on Google News (archived here) and Yahoo News (archived here) for information supporting the claim only generated results saying that Minaj's account was deactivated or deleted in 2025.
