NBC's Dateline is going to air a one-hour special at 10 p.m. EST Friday evening, titled "The State of Wisconsin vs. Steven A. Avery", which the network promises will "dig deeper" into the case of Avery, who's currently serving life without parole for the torture and murder of photographer Teresa Halbach. Making a Murderer presents proof supporting the theory that Avery was framed.
The biggest bombshell of NBC's special: the first interview with Avery's new attorney, Kathleen Zellner, who took over his case earlier this month to spearhead a new effort to get Avery released. Zellner will discuss the forensic advances that could help Avery, NBC News reported.
