Ben Carson, who dropped out of the Republican presidential race after the Super Tuesday primaries, will throw his support behind Donald Trump, the Washington Post reports.
Carson, a retired pediatric neurologist, will announce his endorsement of his formal rival on Friday, just days before the crucial Florida and Ohio primaries, the newspaper quotes two sources close to Carson as saying.
Carson is the second former GOP contender to support Trump. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie also endorsed Trump days after he dropped out of the presidential race.
Failed GOP candidate Carly Fiorina endorsed Ted Cruz this week.
