It's a hot story on social networks titled: "Sarah Palin: 'Native Americans Should Go Back to Nativia.'" But it's not true. It's a satirical story posted on The Daily Currant, which publishes some really funny stuff such as "Kim Davis Ascends to Heaven."
It's been shared, liked, viewed, tweeted, posted and pinned so many times since Monday that it boosted Donald Trump's ranking on Lead Stories' Trendolizer social network attention chart to 43% by Wednesday evening. Palin's supposed quote was in response to a fictional question by Fox News host Steve Doocy about Trump's immigration views.
"I love immigrants, but like Donald Trump, I just think we have too darn many in this country," the Daily Currant story quotes Palin saying. "Mexican-Americans, Asian-Americans, Native-Americans - they're changing up the cultural mix in the United States away from what it used to be in the days of our Founding Fathers. I think we should go to some of these groups and just ask politely - would you mind going home? Would you mind giving us our country back?"
"Sarah you know I love you," Doocey interjected, "And I think that's a great idea with regards to Mexicans. But where are the Native Americans supposed to go? They don't really have a place to go back to do they?"
"Well I think they should go back to Nativia or wherever they came from," Palin replied -- as the show's co-hosts sat in stunned silence.
"The liberal media treats Native Americans like they're gods. As if they just have some sort of automatic right to be in this country. But I say if they can't learn to get off those horses and start speaking American - then they should be sent home too."
Those taken in by the satire apparently include Re/code executive editor Kara Swisher, who tweeted the link with the comment "Can we build a wall around her idiocy (too big?)."

Swisher later tweeted that she knew it was a joke and was joining in on the fun, but then why attack Palin over a satire piece?
Bottom line: Whenever you are blessed to see a Daily Currant story on your timeline, remember it is satire before you share it. And as we at Lead Stories always say "Just because it's trending, doesn't mean it's true."
