There is a trending HOAX story on the internet stating that "Bill O'Reilly To Be Honored At Annual KKK Media Awards." The NOT TRUE story comes from the FreeWoodPost, a satire and hoax site, with a header stating "News That's Almost Reliable."
A few zingers from the NOT TRUE story:
Every year the Ku Klux Klan holds their own version of the Emmy Awards called the "Brothers In White Awards Ceremony." They give out awards to those who they believe exhibit not only the qualities they hope to see in how certain broadcasts and shows are delivered, but also as an overall lifestyle choice.
For starters, there is NO such event as the "Brothers In White Awards Ceremony." Although the KKK do have a visible public image, they DO NOT have nationally publicized awards ceremonies.
This year, the KKK is honoring none other than Fox News' Bill O'Reilly, and what cemented his place at the award show this year were his recent comments on his show discussing minority voters with Donald Trump where he said black people are dumb and aren't qualified for jobs.
Bill O'Reilly is a very outspoken personality and does not mince words when speaking his mind. Although some of his views are not in line with the general consensus, he is NOT an open racist or follower of the KKK.
